LONG CALLS:

• 8 Journeymen Wiremen to the State of California Institution for Men in Chino,  call in after dispatch with personal information, report to work after Live Scan back ground check is clean. You cannot have felonies on your record. Must show proof of a clean TB test before reporting to work at the prison. Two valid forms of ID required. Attire shall be Brown, beige, black, or khaki in color. No blue clothing or blue jeans. No blue, green, plain grey, or plain white shirts allowed. No orange, or florescent colors of any kind allowed. No camouflage allowed, no sweat pants allowed.  Pay periods are on the 1st and 15th of each month with a 2 week waiting period. The State does not pay into Social Security and you must self pay working dues. They have increased the # of JW needed and said this call will last 3 months+. We dispatched 2 JW to the site this past week.

There are 179 Journeyman Wiremen on Book 1 and 32 Journeyman Wiremen on Book 2. Next short call starts with #1. High Desert dispatch will be open.

The Local Union offices will be closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
